ADHD Case Study It has been estimated that as many as four million children and four to five million adults in the United States alone suffer from Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (Wender, 2000, p.4). There are, however, many people that do not believe in its existence. But as more and more people come into contact with others that actually have the disorder, converts are being made every day from journalists who bring the matter to people’s attention to doctors that have “seen the light” (Washington Times, 2003, A20). What follows is a case study based on a fourth grade student that has the disorder. It is evident that adjustments need to be made to his daily educational activities in order to cope with and overcome this disorder.
