Allocation of Organs This paper discusses the need in society for a method of allocating organs for transplantation, since there is usually a long list of people waiting for a transplant at the time, which raises the issue of how best to shape a program where this scarce resource is allocated in a fair and socially beneficial manner. Four possibilities are offered and one is selected as preferable.
