A Review of Brian Ahlberg's American Express - The Stateless Corporation . Multinational Monitor. November, 1990: 29-34. Through the 1980s, American Express had tried to expand its overseas profits with a strong campaign towards popularizing the use of traveler's checks and other services where they were not yet usual.
